Turns up, works the list, writes the quote and lays the floor. If your door finally closes and your floor is flat, that is his doing.
We treat your home like our own.
Tailored Flooring and Property Solutions is a small family business on the Gold Coast. Small in the literal sense, when you call, you get one of us. When we quote your job, the person who wrote the quote is the person who turns up to do it. There is no office, no scheduler, no subcontractor you have never met letting themselves in with a key.
That structure is not an accident and it is not a stepping stone to something bigger. It is the product. Most of the complaints people have about trades come down to the same handful of things, nobody turned up, nobody called, the price changed, the person who did the work was not the person who sold it. Every one of those is a symptom of a business that has grown past the point where anyone is personally accountable. We would rather stay small enough that we are.
The two of us do the work. If something goes wrong on your job, there is nobody for us to blame.
Most of what we do is property work. Handyman jobs, ongoing maintenance, small improvements and end-of-lease make-goods, the repairs and running fixes that keep a house working and stop small problems turning into quotes. That is the bulk of the calendar and it is the work most people meet us through.
Flooring is the other side of it, and it is a proper trade rather than a bolt-on, years of prep, lay and finish across every substrate the Gold Coast throws at you, from beachfront slabs with moisture problems to hinterland timber subfloors that move with the season. We supply the product as well as installing it, which means one party is responsible for the floor and the fitting instead of a supplier and a fitter pointing at each other when something is not right.
Both sides are held to the same standard, and we are equally happy doing either. A morning of odd jobs gets the same drop sheets, the same tidy-up and the same written price as an eighty-square-metre floor. That is not a marketing position. It is just what happens when the owners are the ones on the tools.
Local People. Tailored Solutions. Quality Results.
The Gold Coast is home. Our boys go to school here, our dogs get walked on the same beaches yours do, and we run into customers at the shops, which is a very effective form of quality control. When we say we care about the community, what we mean is that we live in it and we would rather not be the family everyone has a story about.
If you are weighing us up against a bigger outfit, they will have more vans and they may well quote you less. What they will not do is give you the mobile number of the person who laid your floor. Decide which of those matters more for your job, and if it is the price, we will not be offended, and we will still tell you honestly what to watch for in the other quote.
