Privacy policy.
Last updated 2026. This policy explains what personal information Tailored Flooring and Property Solutions collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have written it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate, because a policy nobody reads protects nobody.
What we collect
When you contact us or request a quote, we collect only what we need to do the job.
- Your name, so we know who we are talking to
- Your phone number and email address, so we can reply
- The suburb and address of the property, so we can get there and price the travel
- Details about the work you want done, including any photographs you send us
- If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address for that purpose
We do not collect payment card details through this website. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies on this site.
Why we collect it
To prepare your quote, to carry out the work, to contact you about the job, to invoice you, and to meet our record-keeping obligations. If you have opted in, we also use your email address to send you occasional updates.
Who we share it with
Nobody, other than where it is necessary to do the work you have asked for, for example, a supplier who needs a delivery address, or a managing agent where they are the party instructing us. We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
Quote enquiries that do not proceed are kept for up to twelve months, in case you come back to us. Records for completed work are kept for seven years, which is what Australian tax and business record-keeping requires. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Photographs of your job
We often photograph our work. We will not publish a photograph that identifies your property without asking you first, and if you would rather we did not photograph your job at all, tell us and we will not. If a photograph of your job is already published and you change your mind, ask and we will take it down.
Keeping it secure
Your information is held on password-protected devices and business accounts. We are a small business rather than a bank, and we will not pretend to have enterprise security, what we will do is collect as little as possible, keep it no longer than we need to, and tell you promptly if anything goes wrong.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email or call and we will action it, normally within a few days. There is no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to put it right. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on this page rather than made quietly.
