Terms of service.
Last updated 2026. These are the terms we work under. They are deliberately short. Nothing here takes away any right you have under Australian Consumer Law, and where these terms and that law disagree, that law wins.
Quotes
Quotes are free and carry no obligation. A written quote is fixed for thirty days from the date we issue it, and it is fixed in scope as well as price, what is written down is what we will do for that money.
A quote is based on what we could see at the measure. If something is genuinely hidden, rot under an existing floor, a slab that is out of tolerance beyond what was visible, asbestos in an old adhesive, we will stop, tell you what we have found, and give you a price before we do anything about it. We will never carry out extra work and invoice you for it afterwards.
Variations
If you ask us to do something outside the quoted scope, we will price it and confirm it with you in writing before we start. Verbal variations on site get confirmed by text the same day, so there is a record for both of us.
Deposits and payment
For jobs involving materials we order in, we ask for a deposit covering those materials before we place the order. The balance is due on completion. Payment terms are stated on your quote.
Materials remain our property until they are paid for in full.
Access and site conditions
We need safe access to the property and to power and water at the site. Please let us know about pets, alarms, parking restrictions, body corporate rules and any site hazards before the day. If we arrive and cannot start for a reason within your control, we may charge for the lost time, we will always call you first rather than simply invoicing.
Cancellation
Let us know as early as you can. If you cancel before we have ordered materials, there is no charge. If materials have already been ordered or custom-cut, we will pass on only what we cannot recover, and we will show you the supplier invoice.
Our workmanship
We guarantee our workmanship. If something is not right because of how we did it, we will come back and fix it at our cost. Tell us as soon as you notice it.
The guarantee does not cover damage caused after we leave, normal wear, damage from water escaping from an appliance or a building fault, or movement in the building itself. Nor does it cover failure caused by a subfloor problem you asked us not to address after we had recommended it, in which case we will have that recommendation in writing.
Product warranties
Flooring products carry manufacturer warranties which vary by product and range. We will give you the specific warranty document for whatever you choose. Those warranties are between you and the manufacturer, and we will help you make a claim if you ever need to.
Timber, colour and batch variation
Timber and timber-look products vary between batches, and every floor reads differently under different light. Swatch images on this website are indicative only. We strongly recommend you look at a physical sample in the actual room before deciding, and we will provide one at no charge. We cannot accept a return or a claim based on colour where a sample was offered and declined.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a remedy for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have services remedied if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
This website
We try to keep the information on this website accurate and current. Product specifications, ranges and availability change, and anything shown here should be confirmed with us before you rely on it. Ranges marked as sample ranges are illustrative and are not offered for sale in the form shown.
